Exciting Expansion for Dead Broke Horse Rescue
We’ve officially acquired land in Mayfield, Idaho to build a larger, purpose-built facility for our growing rescue program.
This is a major milestone that will allow us to help more BLM mustangs and horses in need — with better rehabilitation spaces, expanded training arenas, and room for more horses to safely transition from wild to wonderful.
We’re Growing!
Dead Broke Horse Rescue is thrilled to announce that we have acquired land in Mayfield, Idaho for our future permanent facility.
Located in the heart of southwest Idaho’s beautiful high desert, this new property gives us the space and infrastructure we need to take our rescue efforts to the next level. Our current program is already full with horses like Coffee Bean, Mocha, and the two upcoming Antelope HMA mustangs. With this land, we’ll be able to welcome and care for even more horses while providing them with larger pastures, dedicated training areas, and improved rehabilitation facilities.
This expansion means:
- More room for BLM wild mustangs and surrendered horses to heal and thrive
- Larger, safer turnout pastures and training arenas
- Better ability to saddle-train and prepare horses for successful adoptions
- Long-term capacity to serve the rescue community in Idaho and beyond
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us through custom saddle and tack purchases, donations, sponsorships, and adoptions. Because of you, we’re able to turn this dream into reality.
Next Steps
We will begin planning and development soon and will keep our community updated with progress photos, timelines, and ways to get involved. If you’d like to help make this vision a reality faster, every contribution — big or small — goes directly toward fencing, shelters, arenas, and horse care.
